Ricky Max, CPA, MST

Responsibilities
Mr. Max is the Principal in charge of Miller Cooper’s tax department and serves on the Executive Committee. Prior to joining Miller Cooper, he was the lead tax partner in the real estate group in the Chicago office of a national CPA firm.

Relevant Experience
Ricky has over 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to privately owned and operated companies in the middle market. He has significant expertise advising high net worth individuals and their related family groups, including gift, trust and estate planning. Ricky is an expert in flow through taxation. He is a member of the Real Estate and Construction Industry Groups at Miller Cooper. He is a trusted business and tax advisor to his clients where he identifies, evaluates and implements proactive tax strategies. He also has extensive experience resolving Federal and state tax controversies.

Education and Professional Activities
Mr. Max received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and his Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University, where he graduated with distinction. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Chicago Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Organization, and is a member of the curriculum advisory council at Northern Illinois University.
