Quality Assurance Principal

Responsibilities
Ron is the Quality Assurance Principal at Miller Cooper exclusively dedicated to the Firm’s Quality Control. In this capacity, he develops, implements, and monitors accounting and financial reporting policies and practices for Miller Cooper. He is entrusted to review and approve all auditors’ and accountants’ reports on clients’ financial statements, along with the supporting professional engagement documentation. Additionally, Ron is the Firm’s technical expert on all matters pertaining to GAAP and GAAS issues. Among other things, he is also knowledgeable regarding GASB, ERISA, and IFRS matters.

Relevant Experience
Prior to his position as the lead Quality Assurance Principal, he was a Quality Control Principal with a national CPA firm and two local CPA firms. He also served as the Corporate Controller for foreign and domestic consumer electronics firms, beginning his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., where he was a senior manager.

Education and Professional Activities
Ronald is a Graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois (Licensed CPA in Illinois and Michigan).He is currently a member and former chairman of the Illinois CPA Society’s Accounting Principles Committee & has served on other Illinois CPA Society committees, including peer review, grants, and strategic planning. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a continuing contributor of various charitable organizations.
