Principal

Kristen L. Fitzpatrick, CPA

Responsibilities
Ms. Fitzpatrick is a Principal and serves on the Executive Committee. As the Audit Department Head, she leads Miller Cooper’s 65 Audit team members who conduct a range of accounting and audit needs for clients in a variety of industries. Kristen serves as the Principal in charge of the firm’s compliance with AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center (EBPAQC). Additionally, Ms. Fitzpatrick is the Principal in charge of Miller Cooper’s recruiting efforts both for experienced hires and campus recruiting.

Kristen is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Construction Industry Groups and specializes in real estate developer and construction subcontractor clients.

Relevant Experience
Ms. Fitzpatrick continues to service numerous businesses in diverse industries including manufacturers, distributors, construction contractors and subcontractors, real estate entities, and service businesses. Current responsibilities on these assignments are to provide ongoing assistance to management, as well as to supervise the audit fieldwork and financial statement preparation. She also performs a variety of financial consulting projects for her clients and serves as a business advisor to her clients in a number of capacities.

Education and Professional Activities
Ms. Fitzpatrick received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Illinois State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and ASA Chicago, a construction and subcontractors trade association.
